Here at fairytalesandfolklore.com, we love fairy tales.

Growing up, I didn't have any computer, and no one but a few academics had really conceived of a practical 'internet'. So like generations, indeed, the entire history of our race which came before me, I took inspiration and fancy from the old stories of dragons, fairies, trolls and such. From the myths of the Norse and the old Greek tales to the ancient Egyptian and Asian stories translated and retold time and time again before finally being immortalized in print.

I turned out to be a giant fan of science fiction writing as I got a little older and wanted to think about the future. But there's still something about a good fairy tale that can rope you in and give you a taste of the thoughts and values of another time which are so deeply embedded in these often simple stories.

With that pleasure in mind, fairytalesandfolklore.com was brought into being. We hope that you enjoy these tales as much as we do, and find our growing collection an enjoyable way to pass the time.
